Metroid - NES - Older than me -

While an enjoyable game, the background repitition tends to confuse me at time. And I hate the path you are forced to take after beating Kraid. (For realz this time)

The music in this game, however, is simply amazing and iconic. This game set forth several tunes that were memorable, catchy, or both. "Hip" Tanaka really set his score up well for being remade into the best remixes of Metroid Music I've ever heard. (MMZM, if you're wondering)

Unfortunately, though, as fun as this game is, it's my least favorite of the Metroid series.

Metroid II: Return of Samus - Gameboy - Around my age, give or take five years -

This was my first Metroid title I ever played. (And also the first title I ever regretted trading in. It was 'cause I was stuck, but then two weeks after trading it in for Megaman Dr. Wily's Revenge I figured out what I had to do. I later found my exact same cartridge about five years later. Reason I know? Same exact scar I gave it. I even had photographic proof for a while that it was true) When I finally got down to playing all of it, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Most of the tunes aren't as good as the original's, but the opening 'level's' theme music pretty much blew everything from the NES classic's library away.

And of course, more enemies, bosses, and probably one of the more difficult final boss fights in the entire series.

As much as I love this game, it's my second least favorite game.

Which means I have the exact opposite opinion when compared to the entirety of the MDB staff.

Which is why I'm just that awesome.
